The Ecosmart Base 40 can hold up to 8L of bioethanol fuel, meaning you can enjoy the ambience and warming flame for up to 11 hours. The Base 40 will heat an area of up to 60m². That’s the equivalent of an extra-large family or outdoor area.
The Ecosmart Base 40 ethanol fire pit doesn’t require a utility connection, air-vents, chimney or a flue. You simply place the fire table where you want it, add your bioethanol fuel, then sit back and enjoy the warmth.
There are no tools or installation required, saving you thousands on a traditional gas fireplace or fire table.
Unlike traditional fireplaces, the ventless Ecosmart design is 90% generated heat efficient. No heat escapes through a chimney or flue keeping the maximum warmth in the area so that you can get the most heat output from your fire.
Ecosmart fire pits use bioethanol to produce a clean, smokeless heat that doesn’t generate any harmful gases, sparks or soot. Bioethanol is also environmentally friendly, producing around the same CO2 emissions as burning a candle! So, you know you are doing your part for the planet while you enjoy your fire.

Ecosmart fire pits are cheap to run. While a gas fireplace requires professional (and expensive) servicing every 12-18 months, the Ecosmart Base 40 requires very little maintenance.
The Base 40 is made from your choice of two materials – teak or fluid™ concrete. Both are incredibly hard-wearing and versatile.
Fluid™ concrete uses a unique moulding process that adds multiple layers of structural mesh with a special slurry to produce a high-quality concrete that is relatively lightweight yet incredibly strong. Fluid™ concrete is also made from 95% recycled natural materials.
Teak, on the other hand, is the strongest, most durable hardwood available. Teak contains a natural oil which repels water, keeping it from warping, cracking, or becoming brittle. It’s the perfect material for outdoor furniture.
